Glamorous Gadgets Hit Glitzy Vegas For The Consumer Electronics Show

Smart shoes, new virtual reality headsets, futuristic electric cars and fitness trackers are lighting up Las Vegas. Must be time for the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show. Some 170,000 people are expected to show up in Vegas for this year’s show. But they won’t be gambling, drinking or hitting strip clubs (at least not as a primary purpose). Instead, they’ll be hitting the convention floors to check out the next big thing in electronics, or at least the next big thing in electronics not designed in Cupertino, California. It’s been that way since 1967, when CES got its start. Here’s a look at some of the gadgets we’ll be drooling over this year.
