George Clooney Is Selling His Tequila Company For $1B

George Clooney is selling his tequila company Casamigos to Diageo for $1 billion.

Clooney, who owns the company with Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman, will join his business partners in playing an active role in the company following the sale.

“We created Casamigos Tequila four years ago for us to drink personally and selling it for $1 billion is something we never could have imagined,” Gerber told The Post.

“We remain committed to our brand and look forward to our future with Diageo and continuing our work with our dedicated and passionate Casamigos team,” he added.

CNBC first reported the deal Wednesday.

Clooney celebrated another new beginning this week – the birth of his twins!

He and wife Amal introduced Elle and Alexander to the world on Tuesday, and Gerber proved that he’s not only a great business partner but a true friend.

In a video shot in the Casamigos office, Gerber pushes a cart full of diapers, captioning the clip, “Special delivery.”

Gerber previously said he thought Clooney and Amal would be “incredible” parents adding, “I’m not sure [George’ll] be doing diapers.”
